Design guidelines for casual socks

Do you want to have casual socks designed with a unique design? Awesome! Please keep in mind that socks are produced differently than, for example, printed t-shirts. Because the design is literally knitted into the sock, there are a few important guidelines you need to take into account.

• Avoid shadows and colour gradients: These are not possible in knitted socks.
• Use a maximum of 5 colours per horizontal row. Multiple colours are fine, as long as they are placed next to each other horizontally (not vertically stacked within a single stitch row).
• Pay attention to the size of details: The minimum size is 1 mm (1 stitch). Texts that are too small or lines that are too thin will not stand out well.
• Do not place a design on the toe or heel: These parts are reinforced and will distort the design.
• Cuff, heel, and toe can be made in other colours: This gives your socks a playful and striking look.
• Use clear fonts and larger logos: This ensures your branding remains clearly visible in the end result.
