• Soft enamel: A metal plate is stamped or cast in the shape of your design. Then, the recessed areas are filled with a special lacquer (paint), creating a classic relief effect. For an extra scratch-resistant surface, it is also possible to add an epoxy layer to the pin.
• Hard enamel: These are made in the same way as soft enamel pins, with one important difference. The areas are not filled with paint, but with a powder coating that hardens in the oven. This creates a smooth, flat, and scratch-resistant surface.
• Printed pins: These are made from a stainless steel plate punched in the shape of your design. The final design is printed on this in full colour. The print is protected by an epoxy layer.
• Stamped pins: These pins are not coloured but are available in bronze, silver, gold, and matte or antique variations of these. Additionally, these pins are available in black, rose gold, and other metal finishes. Stamped pins feature a 2D or 3D relief effect.
• Precious metal pins: These pins are available in both 2D and 3D and are made from #925 Sterling silver.

Dimensions of pins

Pins and lapel pins are available in various dimensions. Most designs are between 15x15mm and 45x45mm, with a thickness of 1.2 to 2mm.

Colours

When choosing pins, the colour depends on the type of pin. Stamped pins are not coloured, whereas other types of pins can have almost any desired colour. With printed pins, it is even possible to create colour gradients and shadow effects. Enamel pins, both soft and hard, are coloured per section, with each section receiving one solid colour. You have complete freedom in choosing colours for your pins or lapel pins! If you want to have stamped pins made, they are only available in metal colours, both matte and shiny, and are not filled with colour.

For soft and hard enamel pins, we use Pantone PMS colours as a reference. Check the PMS colour chart here. Important: we use PMS colours as a reference and will select the matching colours as closely as possible. Due to screen quality and settings, the result may differ slightly from the colours on your screen.

Engraving pins

In principle, every pin can be provided with a laser engraving, or text in recessed or raised metal. We advise you to choose laser engraving for unique or small-run engravings. Returning texts (logos, edition numbers, event names, dates, etc.) are best displayed via a recessed or raised metal layer.
